While it is visually stunning, The Good Dinosaur just feels like a movie that has been done - better, I may add - by previous films before it. With that addition out of the way, let us talk, briefly about 2015’s The Good Dinosaur. Cars 2, which I once again have to harp on, is not a quality film. While the films in this tier are going to be docked points based on their unoriginal themes, characters, and ideas (unoriginality, something you once thought was impossible for Pixar to produce), they are still quality films. Hopefully, you will keep this list close by the next time you log in to Disney+ for movie night! The “Could These Guys Be Losing Their Touch?” TierĪs “meh” as the Good Dinosaur is, and it is just that, I need to quickly touch on the difference between this tier and the previous tier. In this list, I will be tiering (as well as ranking) all twenty-six full-length Pixar films from so/so to marvelous. Regardless of the reason(s) you love Pixar, one thing is certain: The studio knows how to make films that appeal to a massive audience. The characters are so well-designed and fleshed out that the simple act of them communicating with one another is enough to bring out a whole second layer to scrape off and break apart. Incredible (I can compare this to my relationships), Dash and Violet (my sister, brother, and I), and Frozone/Mr. While the action sets certainly still dazzle and the visuals hold up, what keeps me coming back to that film, now, is more the incredible (no pun intended) dynamic between characters like Mr. Having now grown up (slightly), I have since returned to this classic film. Incredible to catch their falling son, to the countless wonderful scenes involving the Omnidroid, every different set piece filled me with pure adrenaline and exhilaration.
